Maybe one day I'll get around to uploading my photos/videos so that I can post them on my blog...maybe. Until then you'll have to just settle for reading about the things that go on around This Mom Follows God's house.
My 2 yr old and 3 yr old can both recite Genesis 1:1. My 3 yr old has it down. My 2 yr old's version is "God heaven earth." She gets the jist of it :)
The girls and I have taken up reading a Psalms a day. I got this idea from Large Family Logstics (which by the way is a WONDERFUL book! I think all moms should have it regardless of the size of your family!) She calls the Psalms her families spiritual vitamin! I couldn't agree more! It's refreshing to the soul! Anyways, the girls and I frequently read Psalms 1 and since that specific day was our first day to start our daily dose of spiritual vitamins we started there. After reading it and talking about it the girls and I started cleaning up our breakfast mess and went on to the next task. Later that day my 3 yr old ran up to me and quoted the first part of Psalms 1 "blessed is the man that stands not in the counsel of the ungodly." That was a blessing to me!
I just adore when my children match! Yes I'm one of "those moms" :) I promise I will one day get a picture of them in matching outfits uploaded. One day.
My daugthers have become huge fans of reenacting stories we read/hear. One day after the girls history lesson (Fiery Furnace) my 3 yr old started acting like she was King Nebuchadnezzar and was throwing Abednego (my 2 yr old) and Shadrach (myself) into the furnace. It was interesting. I'm sure if she could have remembered Meshach, Elizabeth would have played that part.
Anoth reenactment story: This weekend Kayelee, Bridget, and their 2 yr old cousin watched a 20 minute clip of Noah's Ark. After it was done Kayelee ran up to me and said, "Mom can I be Noah and you be my wife?" HHHmmm.....cooking was my cop out on that one. :)
We went on a walk through the woods yesterday! I love the smell of the pines, the crunching of the leaves, the signs of life around us the break of the sun between trees, the sound of giddy children running and laughing, helping each other up when they didn't quite land the jump over the stick, the smile and weight of the 6 month old on my hip, and the warmness of my loves hand in mine! It was lovely! Of course my husband was armed! You can bet he was armed with his .22 revolver which was resting safely in his holster. You know, in case we stumbled upon a wild animal like a hog. There were plenty of signs that a hog had been rooting around in the area we were walking in and if you know wild hogs then you knowthey're far from pumba! One year our dog died from a hog attack :(
Oh and yes we're God fearing, Bible beliving Christians that support the 2nd amendment! The 2nd protects the rest. Our opinion on the talk of AWB (assault weapon ban) is that it's pointless. All they're doing is taking the rights of law abiding citzens away. AWB don't work. Remember Columbine? That tragic day? Yea that happened during an AWB. A lot of good the ban did :/ And another thing, criminals like Adam Lanzo do NOT care what the law is! If they're determined to kill they're going to do it regardless. Adam tried to buy a gun but because the law requires a waiting period on the specific one he wanted he decided to break the law and steal one. Adam broke the law and took a gun to a gun free zone! And unfortunatly gun free zones make you an easy target because, well, you're not armed and can't defend yourself. Tragics like these are sad! Extremelly sad! My heart breaks for the families but the fact is criminals will kill...regardless of laws. The same day Newton happened a man in China went to a school and stabbed 23 kids. 9-11, remember that? They killed millions of people with a plane not a gun. Sure they held a gun on the people in the plane but the millions of people didn't die because of a bullet. No they died because of a plane crashing into their place of business. People are sinful. People need Jesus. An AWB will not fix that. Jesus will. So quit making "bans" and stripping law abiding citzens of their rights! Instead get out there and preach Jesus to a dying world! Ok of that subject.......
Much love in Christ <3

Wow... that was a lot. My comment: You need to sign up as an Amazon affiliate and link to the books you mention on your book - that way we can find them and you can earn money when we buy them... just sayin'....
